Charles C. Slater is General Counsel of CMGI where he focuses on employment litigation, counseling, compliance, training, personnel issues, workers comp and corporate legal matters.
While Mr. Slater enjoys trial work, he also works on preparing employment related policies and procedures, holding seminars, and drafting agreements, so litigation can be avoided. He has over 23+ years of legal experience. He now manages a legal team consisting of five attorneys and staff for the company.
Mr. Slater received his J.D. from the University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law, and received two B.A. degrees from the University of California, Davis, one in Political Science-Public Service and the other in Rhetoric and Communications.
Mr. Slater is an active member of the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice in all California State Courts as well as United States District Courts for the Central and Eastern Districts. He is also a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and Labor and Employment Section. He also serves as Legal Advisor to the OC Pet Rescue Center.
In his off time, Mr. Slater likes being with his family and friends, scuba diving, boating, and working with various charities
